The Rev. Laura Mariko Cheifetz is the Director of Alumni Relations and Development. As director, she connects the community of pastoral leaders, theological educators and Christian leaders who have been involved in FTE’s programs. Cheifetz directs grant activities to support Transition into Ministry (TiM), which is a Lilly Endowment program that nurtures new pastors and provides leadership development resources.

A 2001 FTE Ministry Fellow, she previously served as Director of the Common Ground Project at McCormick Theological Seminary in Chicago. Cheifetz also served as the Director of Asian American Discipleship for Vocational Empowerment, Nurture and Transformation (AADVENT). She holds a Master of Business Administration degree from North Park University, a Master of Divinity degree from McCormick Theological Seminary, and a Bachelor of Arts degree in sociology from Western Washington University. She is an ordained minister in the Presbyterian Church (USA).
